Born 1963 in Copenhagen, educated as clarinettist and bass clarinettist by Haakon Vestly, Rogaland Music Conservatorium in Norway and by professor Thomas Friedli, Conservatoire de Musique de Genéve (Switzerland). Graduated from the latter in 1992 with highest distinction, I. Prix virtuosité, followed by two years intensive studies with solo clarinettist Aart Rozeboon (The Nederlands).
